Been using AI for over a decade but this seems to be a new quirk for me. I'm printing out some graphics that need to be cut down to precise 1" x 1" tiles. Everything in my AI file is set up correctly, inches are exact, resolution is 300 dpi, but I'm noticing pretty severe drift in the printed output. It appears to be printing slightly larger, so, as you'll see in the attached image, by the time it gets to 8" it's actually 1/4" larger.
(The image is not completely accurate as lens distortion on my iPhone is throwing the tic lines all out of alignment, but I can assure you that in real-space the ruler and cutting mat are correct and the print is out of scale.)
I'm not sure if this is an AI issue or actually a printer issue, but figured I'd start here. I just purchased a brand new Epson WF-3820 which is what these are printing on. Everything in my print settings is set to print at actual size, 100%.
